Labour Day Looks

Ahhh labour Day, my old friend 

Whenever the good times start to roll, I always love to tailor my look to feel beautiful!

So today marks the kickoff to what is typically an epic last hurrah for the summer (even though the Autumnal Equinox doesn't happen until September 22nd this year!)  It’s a time where we get together with friends and family for bbq’s and picnics, festivals and fireworks - basically all of the summer highlights!  And seeing as how Toronto is still scorching hot and looking good, I thought I might share what I love about this time of year.

I love seeing the wind rustle through the fully matured leaves.  I love seeing people full to the brim with vitamin D smiling at me.  I love being on a patio with an ice cold drink in hand and good company all around.  And I especially love getting dressed up to take part in the city’s finest events and concerts. 

One of the themes for me therefore is how I feel when I’m out and about in the world.  Urban Minerals makes this really easy for me because I always use my foundation to give me a great base.  Sometimes it's just a light dusting, just to give a more even tone, and sometimes I like to play it up and give myself a fuller coverage look, especially if I’m hitting the dance floor.  Why not?

(I also tend to use a foundation that is 2-3 shades darker than my natural tone as contour and bronzer.  Hey hey, not a bad idea!)
